Platform access level: Org Admins
The delivery method decides where a course reaches each learner, whether that is a text message, an inbox, or a chat app they already use. This guide explains how to choose among the six methods Arist supports and where to set each one up. It is written for Org Admins planning how a campaign reaches learners.
1. Choosing a delivery method
Start from where your learners already spend their working day, then match the method to that place. The factors below help you narrow the choice.
Where learners already work: Pick the tool your learners open every day so courses meet them there.
Access to email or apps: Choose SMS or WhatsApp when learners may not have reliable email or a work app.
Regional norms: Favor the messaging app your learners use in their region.
Your IT platform: Match the method to the systems your organization already runs, such as Microsoft 365 or Slack.
2. Delivery methods and when to use each
Arist supports six delivery methods. Use the guidance below to decide, then open the linked setup guide for the one you choose.
SMS: Use when you want course content to arrive as a text message on any mobile phone, including for learners without email or app access.
WhatsApp: Use when your learners already rely on WhatsApp for daily communication.
Email: Use when learners work from an inbox, and you want content in a place they already check.
Microsoft Teams: Use when your organization runs on Microsoft 365, and you want courses pushed into each learner's existing Teams identity with no separate login.
Slack: Use when your teams work in Slack, and you want courses delivered in the workspace they already use.
Arist Messenger: Use when you want learners to receive courses in an Arist-hosted app rather than through an existing messaging tool.
