September 2026 Product Updates

See what shipped in Arist in September 2026, including cohorts from a learner selection, admin activity feeds, CSV imports without a delivery address, and restoring excluded team members, plus everyday admin improvements.

Here is what shipped in Arist in September 2026. Creating a cohort from a learner selection leads four highlights, followed by the everyday improvements that make the admin experience smoother.

1. Highlights

  • Create a cohort from a learner selection: Admins and team managers in Arist can now select learners on the Learners page or on a team's Learners tab and create a new cohort that holds exactly that selection, including every learner across all pages that matches the current search and filters. This removes the step of rebuilding the same list on the Cohorts tab, which matters for teams running frequent launches, reminders, or follow-up training. Access: Learners > select learners > More actions > Create cohort, or Team settings > Learners > select learners > Create cohort. See Viewing and Managing Learners.

  • See who did what across your admin workflows: The Learners page and Users & roles now carry an Activity tab for org admins, and each team has an Activity page in Team settings. Each lists recent admin actions, such as adding a learner, changing a role, or editing team rules, in plain sentences grouped under Today, Yesterday, This week, and Earlier, with a date filter and, on the team page, an event filter. Team managers in Arist see their own team's Activity page only. This gives everyone who shares the admin work a clear record when they need to confirm a change or answer a question about it. The feeds show recorded actions. Earlier changes may not appear. Access: Learners > Activity; Settings > Users & roles > Activity; Team settings > Activity.

  • Import learner metadata without requiring a delivery address: Organizations can now turn off the requirement for a delivery address on learner CSV imports, so a file with email plus metadata can update existing learners that were already created through Slack or Microsoft Teams. The setting is on by default, and a row whose email matches no existing learner is reported as an error rather than creating a learner. This matters for admins who manage learner data in bulk and want cleaner imports without adding channel details they do not need. Access: Organization settings > Options > "Require a delivery address for all imported learners", then Learners > Add learners > Upload CSV. See Managing Organization Settings.

  • See excluded team members and add them back: On any team other than the Default team, the Learners page now includes an Excluded only view showing removed learners, when they were removed, and who removed them, with an Add back to team action. This helps admins and team managers in Arist restore access faster when team membership needs to be adjusted. Access: Team settings > Learners > All / Excluded only.

2. Everyday admin improvements

  • Follow up from the Delivery screen: The Delivery screen on a schedule now supports Add to cohort and Enroll in schedule actions for selected rows, including every matching row across all pages. Learners you enroll get that schedule's own delivery method. This makes follow-up enrollment faster when you are acting on delivery results. Access: Delivery > open a schedule > select rows > Add to cohort or Enroll in schedule. See Scheduling and Delivering Courses.

  • See every active filter at a glance: Filters on the Learners and Cohorts lists now appear as removable chips beside the search box, so you can change or clear them one at a time or all at once. Access: Learners > the plus button beside the search box. See Viewing and Managing Learners.

  • Move a learner between teams from their profile: A learner's Edit panel now includes a Teams field, so you can update team membership in one save from the learner's own page. Access: Learners > open a learner > Edit > Teams field. See Viewing and Managing Learners.

  • Delete large learner groups in one run: Bulk deletion now supports any number of learners. Large deletions run in the background with progress shown, while smaller selections still complete immediately. Access: Learners > select learners (or every learner across all pages) > More actions > Delete. See Viewing and Managing Learners.

  • Use Match any inside one rules block: Team rules and dynamic cohort rules now support Match all or Match any within each block, which makes it easier to express common audience logic in fewer steps. Access: Team settings > Learners > Rules, or a dynamic cohort's rules > "Match all or any of these rules".
