August 2026 Product Updates

See what shipped in Arist in August 2026, including multi-language courses, the new Help Center, and team manager self-service across teams, users, and channels, plus the month's everyday admin improvements.

Here is what shipped in Arist in August 2026. Running one course in every language leads six highlights, followed by the everyday improvements that make the admin experience smoother.

1. Highlights

  • Run one course in every language: Keep every language version in a single course, with one course ID mapped to the external course ID used for LMS tracking. Switch languages in the course editor, add them from Manage translations, and re-translate only out-of-date fields. This reduces course, cohort, and schedule work while keeping analytics together. Available on request through your Customer Success Manager. Text inside images, including alt text, and video titles are not translated yet.

  • Help Center: Ask a support agent how to do something in Arist and get an answer straight away at help.arist.com. The new Help Center is open to everyone, requires no setup, and is the only place with the most up-to-date guidance. The old Help Center remains available until the end of the month, but Org Admins should switch now.

  • Team managers in Arist can manage their own teams: A new Teams item in the sidebar lets Managers view every team they belong to, rename teams, and manage members without waiting on an Org Admin. Creating and deleting teams stays with Org Admins. Access: Team settings > Teams (manager view). See Managing Team Settings.

  • Team managers in Arist can manage users in their own teams: Managers can view, invite, and edit org members within their own teams without full Org Admin rights, so local owners can keep access current. Deleting a member stays with Org Admins. Access: Settings > Users & roles. See Managing Users and Roles.

  • Keep channel choices relevant to each team: On Team settings > Channels, Org Admins and Managers can turn the organization's channels on or off for their own team. Channel pickers across schedules, automations, distributions, and enrollment then show only that team's enabled channels, reducing setup errors. Schedules already running on a channel keep working. See Managing Channels.

  • Review account access with last login data: The sortable last-login column in Settings > Users & roles shows a relative date, the exact date and time on hover, or Never. Quickly identify inactive accounts and follow up on pending setup. See Managing Users and Roles.

2. Everyday admin improvements

  • Match whole lists in one rule: In the rule builder that cohorts and teams share, use "is one of" or "is not one of" to match several values in one condition, shown as removable chips. Matching ignores capitalization, so you need fewer duplicate conditions. Access: Cohorts > a dynamic cohort > Rules, or Team settings > Learners > Rules. See Managing Cohorts.

  • Start common rules faster: Choose a ready-made template above that same rule builder, then adjust the pre-filled rule. The four templates are By department, By location, New hires, and By manager. A template appears only when your organization already holds a metadata field matching it by name and type, and the button names your field, as in By department (Business unit). Access: Team settings > Learners > Rules, or Cohorts > a dynamic cohort > Rules. See Managing Cohorts.

  • Check a team rule change before you save it: As you edit, the Rules panel counts the learners your current rules match and states what saving would add or remove, as in 42 learners match, when saved: +7 added, -71 removed. In the Learners table, a Membership column marks each learner Manual or Rule-based, and the Membership filter narrows the list to one of them. Access: Team settings > Learners > Rules, and Team settings > Learners > Membership filter. See Managing Team Settings.

  • Update learner data in bulk: Select learners, then choose Bulk edit in the bulk actions bar to set one metadata field for all of them in a single save. Fields you do not touch keep their current values. Access: Learners (the org-level list) > select learners > Bulk edit, or Team settings > Learners > select learners > Bulk edit. See Viewing and Managing Learners.

  • Export the right course language: In the course Download modal, choose an enabled language or All languages to export a zip with one file per language. Missing translations export blank rather than falling back to the primary language. Access: a course > Download > language dropdown. See Using the Content Editor.

  • See team memberships on the users list: The Teams column in Settings > Users & roles shows each teammate's memberships, All teams for Org Admins, and No teams when none are assigned. See Managing Users and Roles.

  • Edit all team memberships in one place: From a teammate's edit panel in Settings > Users & roles, Org Admins can update every team membership in one save. See Managing Users and Roles.

  • Move or remove learners in bulk: The same bulk actions bar also holds Add to cohort, Remove from team, and Delete. Use them to change which cohorts and teams a selection belongs to, or to delete the selected learners in one action. Access: Learners (the org-level list) > select learners, or Team settings > Learners > select learners. See Viewing and Managing Learners.

  • Create a team while inviting a user: Choose Create new team in the Teams dropdown to add a missing team without leaving the invite flow. Access: Settings > Users > Invite user > Teams dropdown > Create new team. See Managing Users and Roles.

  • Add a learner straight into a team: On a non-default team's Settings page, Org Admins can use Add learner to create a learner and attach them to that team at the same time. Access: Team settings > Learners > Add learner (non-default team). See Managing Team Settings.

  • Generate courses faster in Course Creator: Course Creator now writes the course outline and the lessons noticeably faster, with improved translation fidelity. Access: Course Creator. See Building a Course with Creator.

  • Use CSV files as reference material in Course Creator: Upload CSV files alongside .txt, .docx, and .pdf reference material. Course Creator summarizes them the same way, so teams can use structured sources without reformatting. Access: Course Creator > document upload. See Building a Course with Creator.
