A template is a complete course you can launch as is or customize, so it's the fastest way to a good course when someone else has already solved the problem you're facing.
1. Find a template
Select the Content library button at the top of the Content page.
Browse the available templates, then open the three-dot menu on one and select Learn more to see its lesson count and full description before you commit to it.
Tip: Read the full description on the Learn more page as well as the title. The description gives you the lesson count and the ground the template covers, which is what tells you whether it fits your audience.
2. Add and customize it
Select Use template to add it to your course library. This opens the course in the normal content editor (the same one every course uses; see Using the Content Editor), where you can edit the content to match your audience and voice.
Make it fit your organization: Read every lesson and adjust names, numbers, and examples, including the questions, which are covered in Using Question Types and AI Assessment.
Set up a schedule: While you're in the editor, set the schedule for your course. This is what moves it out of Drafts.
3. Schedule it to publish
Your changes save as you go. The course sits in the Drafts section of the Content page until you set a schedule; once you do, it moves to Published. See Best Practices for Delivering Courses for schedules and enrollment.
